Introduction:Algebra is an important and a very old  branch of mathematics.It deals with solving algebraic equations.In  third century,the greek mathematician Diophantus wrote a book”Arithamatic”.His book contained  a large number of practical  problems.In the sixth  and seventh centuries,Indian mathematicians like Aryabhatta and Brahmagupta have worked on  linear  equations and quadratic equations. They developed  general  methods of solving linear equations and quadratic equations.
